How to connect databases like SQL server / Postgre SQL from Incorta cloud.

What are the prerequisites for connecting databases from Incorta cloud. Could you please help me.

Hi @sambasiva - are you attempting to load data from a SQL Server/PostgreSQL server into your Incorta cloud instance? If so, here are the steps to connect to a PostgreSQL database and load data into a schema.

As long as you have the right permissions and access the steps are pretty simple. Sometimes the Incorta Cloud does not have access to a database because it sits behind a firewall. In this case, users will take advantage of a data agent.

If you are trying to read data from Incorta into a third party visualization tool or other application, you can use this guide on our community to connect. Integrations with Tableau, PowerBI, and others are supported.

If the Databases live inside your firewall AND are NOT accessible to the Public Network, then you will have to install the Data Agent. Please review this Community Article, and contact your Sales / Support representative at Incorta if you need any assistance.
