Why would the row count for a query be off?

I have a SQL statement used for a table. The statement run in SMSS returns significantly more rows than the exact same statement in the table full load. How can I find where the difference is coming from?

  • Hi Marc,

If there is a "key" defined in Incorta table that has the same source SQL statement , Some rows will be not found because it may be considered as duplicated rows and so it removed or not appear in Incorta.

In SSMS you can apply same query using group by the "Key" (If there any) column it should return the same no. of rows.

    • Rasha Mahran That explains it. I have changed the key and loaded a full load again and the count is right. Thank you.
