incorta: converting excel date format to a string when we pull data into incorta

we are facing an issue, which is a little strange with the date format while importing data from CSV or an excel file, 
by default incorta is considering all dates as a string in incorta 
please find  the attached screenshot

    I created a testcase where the date column in excel is formatted as "Custom" and "Date", they were both interpreted as Date in Incorta. If you like please upload a sample excel file and mention the excel version and Incorta version.

  • it is a CSV file,  please find the attached file, when I am loading the file into incorta the dates were considered as a string if I open same in excel it is showing as dates

    You just need to select the right date format while adding the table. In your case, it should be "MM/dd/yyyy".
