  • yes we can change the date format from source after loading data into incorta in the schema.

formatdate, parsedate functions can be used.

  • But there is no good way to get Incorta to export a Timestamp to Excel using the Download XLSX feature.

formatdate will convert the Timestamp to a string and export a string to Excel.  None of the date functions in Excel will work on this column.

parsedate will convert a string in the source data to a Timestamp.  But if you already have a Timestamp to begin with, this function won't help.

If you export a Timestamp to Excel, you will only get the date portion.  The time portion is truncated.

A very round-about method to get date and time to export is to convert to an Excel format date number, and then change the number format in Excel to what you like.  For example:

    epoch(REPORTING.ORDERS.DUE_DATE) / 86400 + 25569

This will export a decimal number that Excel can format as a date and time.
