Does Incorta have an API? Webservices? Rest?

  • The Incorta front-end application communicates with the Incorta Engine via a web service API.

In the  future, a portion of that API will be documented and supported for use by customers and partners.

Currently, the Incorta Engine can be queried via our SQL Interface (PostGres compliant SQL) that, by default, listens on port 5436.

In addition, Incorta can be embedded in other tools (web applications, Oracle APEX, etc.) as long as user credentials are passed through to Incorta from the hosting application.

    • Hi Vinod. SP we do not have an official release date for this feature at this time. If you would like to have a quick conversation on the topic, please let me know and I can setup a call.

      Thanks,
      Dustin

    • Dustin Basil Sure that would be great. Here are the 2 use cases which we think API can help with

      - To automate report download to a directory. I can see Incorta enables us to schedule report delivery through email in csv, xlsx, html format but we think an API can enable us to download the report and do whatever we want to do. Moving to SFTP folder is one such use case.

      - To automate deployment. Manual export of schema, reports from dev environment and import in Prod environment is not something which can be automated. Having an API to import/export will help us to automate our deployment process between environments.

    • Hi Vinod. SP I sent you a DM to setup a call. We can discuss workarounds for both use cases as well as future enhancements that will improve these.

      Thanks,
      Dustin
