can we sum the average of the values

I have a requirement where I need to show the output as the sum of all average as a total,

when I use data1/ data2 I am able to get the original column data (0.88) but I want the total to be shown as 15.96 instead of 0.88

ID PID data1 data2 original output( expected)
1 PD2 8.5 85 0.1 0.1
1 PD3 76.5 85 0.9 0.9
4 PD5 85 85 1 1

  • Venkat, if it is listing table (you are not aggregating any data), you can create a formula column (data1/ data2) in the table (in physical schema). Show that formula column in the report.  If it is aggregated table, then this solution may not work.

    • Anurag Malik   in other tools there is an option to sum the average of the output

if the output averages were  .90,10,1 then the result total will be shown as 2, only total changes rest of the calculations remain the same.

  • Hi  venkatRao , we currently do not have that option in Incorta.  You could, however, build an Incorta table in the physical schema which captures these calculations (data1/data2) as a persisted column in a persisted table.  Then, at that point, you could just display the contents of this Incorta table with Totals turned on to get the desired effect.  I know that isn't the straightforward approach you're looking for, but it would get the job done.
