AWS Linux install - insufficient disk space message

Attempting an install on AWS Linux and getting

Incorta Analytics requires at least 1 GB of free disk space in the temporary
directory "/devtmpfs". If this space is not available, you can do one of the
following:

That directory I've changed a few times and there is ample disk available.   Has anyone run into this and adjusted successfully?

      I did:

      java -Dlax.nl.env.iatempdir=/devtmpfs -jar incorta-installer.jar

      ( I tried a few different directory paths )

    • R. A. Dawson Sr not to be pedantic but have you verified the shell account user performing the install has write permission to all of the directories you are trying? Also, you may want to make sure > 3 GB is available.

  • I get all mad and stuff about pedantic lecturing unless I'm totally lost ..... and I'm totally lost  ;-)

    Here's the directory I created:

    drwxrwxr-x 2 ec2-user ec2-user       4096 Sep  8 20:25 tmp

    • R. A. Dawson Sr Can you open a Support ticket? Otherwise I can do a quick zoom with you tomorrow morning.

  • Just to close the loop here, the tmp folder space warning was a red herring. The issue was an incompatible JDK version and that error was part of the stack trace in the installer's debug log file.
