Uninstall on linux - just delete IncortaAnalytics folder?

I have a fresh install on an AWS box to which we just assigned a static IP ( the install was done w/ the prior IP ).    Since I don't have any content yet to be preserved, can I just remove the IncortaAnalytics directory and run the install again?

  • I would add that it also depends on how clean you want the system.

There is info stored in the MySQL instance that could cause issues. Is the tenant stored under that same folder?

On a typical install, I did the following:

    Execute uninstaller

    cd /opt/incorta/IncortaAnalytics/uninstaller

    java -jar uninstaller.jar

    Uninstall MySQL

    Stop the currently running database:

    sudo /etc/init.d/mysqld stop

    sudo yum remove mysql-community-release.noarch

    More to remove

    sudo yum remove mysql-community-release.noarch mysql-community-server-5.6.46-2.el6.x86_64 mysql-community-libs.x86_64 mysql-community-common.x86_64 mysql-community-client.x86_64

    Manual Cleanup (need root access)

    sudo rm -Rf /var/lib/mysql

    sudo rm -Rf /var/lib/mysql-files

Make sure you delete the tenants folder (ours is not in the /opt/incorta folder)

As the uninstall only removes what it put down, if you added any files, you will still have to manually remove them.

    •  Martin Carnegie  I agree. It looks like clean uninstall and leaves no traces of Incorta stuff.
