How to calculate based on a regular expression (Regex)

How to build a formula that can test a string against a regular expression?

e.g. <String> = ^(\+\d{1,2}\s)?\(?\d{3}\)?[\s.-]\d{3}[\s.-]\d{4}$

  • Hi Dave Williams Incorta does not currently offer a regular expression function in our formula column syntax but you could do this in a Materialized View using Spark SQL or PySpark.

  • Thanks Dustin , Is it planned to add as a function as I cannot build a materialized view for this purpose for multiple columns and multiple functions?

    • Dave Williams I believe it is planned but we do not have a set date for release as of yet. I recommend that you open a ticket with Incorta Support with the feature request as well as your planned use cases to make sure you are kept in the loop on the feature and that your specific use cases are considered for our initial release.
