Unable to connect to IncortaMetadata outside the server through DBVizsualizer

I am unable to connect to IncortaMetadata outside the server(from local machine), Is there any setting or configuration to change to do the same.

  • Hello Gnaneshwar, what metadata db do you have your Incorta instance running on?  Derby, MySQL or Oracle? (Derby is default).

If it's Derby, it's a Derby Server process listening on port 1527 so you'd need to configure Derby to accept remote connections and ensure the port between the two machines is open.

    Warmest Regards,

  • Thanks Patrick,

    It is Derby.

  • So, should be listening on port 1527 but, by default, Incorta's embedded Derby instance does not accept connections from remote sources.  If you modify your startup script to pass the proper option to the Java process controlling Derby (I use the following on my instance: -Dderby.drda.host=, it should work.
