Create a SQL Server Linked DB to Incorta

You may want to have the ability to pull data from incorta into your MS SQL Server database.  If so, the steps are as follows:

1) From the Windows environment, set up a System DSN (ODBC) using the PostgreSQL driver.  The database name should be your Tenant Name.  The Server should be the IP address to your incorta server.  The Port number should be the SQLi port defined for your install (5436 by default) and provide a valid User Id and Password for that Tenant.  The "Test" button should report a successful connection.

2) From your MS SQL Server management console, you should see a node for database links.  Create a new database link give it a name, Under Server Type, click on Other data source, and then choose "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" in the drop-down for Provider.  For Product Name, give it any name (such as "incorta"), and finally in the Data source field enter in the exact name of the System DSN that you created in Step 1.  Hit OK and the DB Link should be created.  Expand the DB Link node that you just created, and there will be a node for Tables which you may expand to see the list of tables that incorta user has been authorized to see.

You may now access data in your SQL Server environment from incorta! Good luck!!!
