Shared Server Folder as Data Source

I would like to be able to have a shared server folder as a data source to where new files or updated files would be picked up when a load occurs on that data source.  We cannot directly connect to the source where these files come from, which is why we place them in a shared folder for use by other applications.  So we would need Incorta to read from that folder and load new data accordingly.  I know that other analytics software applications have this capability.  Wondering why it is not available in Incorta.

When I did this I used a Google Drive folder, but if you want to stay out of the big cloud services could you set up your server as an FTP / SFTP server and point there?
