When you use a result set, the insight items are unique to the result set, so clicking an insight dimension does not filter other insights.

However, for example, if the output of a result set is data by date, it may be useful to click on a date in an insight that uses the result set and have other insights filtered by the same date.

If you can link the dimensions of the result set output with the calendar master, etc. on the dashboard, you should be able to control it as described above.

Result sets are a useful feature and we would like to make use of them in many cases, but there are restrictions that make them difficult to use, so we would appreciate your consideration of this.

When you filter on the source data used by the result set, the insight built on the result set will be filtered.

Can you expose the column from the source table as a prompt and use it as the filter?

You are right.  the solution is less intuitive than just clicking on the date shown in the insight built on result set, but other insights should be filtered by the selected prompt if you use prompt instead of clicking on the insight.

Another possible workaround is to create a presentation variable and use it instead of the prompt or clicking on the insight built on the result set.  We can explicitly filter by the variable.

Anyway, what you described is a good product idea.  Thanks for your inputs.
