Locks on Schemas

It would be very useful if Incorta can provide us an option to lock or unlock every schema (Physical or Business) to avoid the parallel development on the same schema object when others are working on it already (In locked state).

@srini_ch - which version of Incorta are you currently working with? For physical schemas, the more recent set of releases on premises and cloud supports this requirement. You cannot save a physical schema change if another user has acquired a lock and is modifying the schema. In this case, you will only be able to save your schema changes as a draft.

@awarrier - Thanks for the update!! We are on version 5.1.4 (On Premises). I do see this capability of locking mechanism as stated by you.

But the issue with the current approach is that Lock on a schema is only available between the start time of Edit until next save on the schema. But we all understand that any decent development cannot be accomplished within a single Save click sessions.

My ask is that can we have a manual mechanism to Lock the schema and make it not available for the other users even to save a draft on it until the lock on the schema is released again manually by the owner of the lock.
