In the context of sales data analysis, we believe the incorporation of a decomposition tree would significantly augment our analytical capabilities and provide invaluable insights.

A decomposition tree is a powerful visualization tool that allows users to break down and understand the underlying factors influencing a particular metric, such as sales. By utilizing this feature, we would be able to easily identify the key drivers impacting our sales performance, whether it's product categories, customer segments, time periods, or any other relevant dimension. This hierarchical breakdown of data helps us analyze the relationships and dependencies between various elements, leading to more informed decision-making and targeted strategies.

The benefits of incorporating a decomposition tree into Incorta's suite of insights are numerous. It would empower users like us to:

1. Gain deeper insights: The decomposition tree would provide a visual representation of the sales data, highlighting the contributing factors to overall performance. This would enable us to identify trends, patterns, and outliers more effectively.

2. Understand the impact of different dimensions: By decomposing sales data, we could analyze the influence of various dimensions on overall sales, such as regions, products, customer segments, or time periods. This level of granularity would facilitate targeted analysis and help us uncover hidden opportunities or areas of improvement.

3. Simplify complex analysis: The decomposition tree's intuitive interface would simplify the process of exploring complex relationships within our data. It would enable both technical and non-technical users to navigate and interpret the insights with ease, enhancing the overall usability of Incorta.

4. Facilitate decision-making: With the decomposition tree as a dedicated insight type, we would have a reliable tool for dissecting and understanding our sales data. This enhanced visibility would empower our teams to make data-driven decisions, optimize resource allocation, and identify strategies for growth and profitability.

Considering the demonstrated commitment of Incorta to continuous improvement and innovation, we believe the addition of a decomposition tree as a type of insight would be an invaluable contribution to the platform's capabilities.

Hi @nithishs ,

This can be fulfilled by the Component SDK. We do have a test component for the decomposition tree, this is a short GIF for that component, do you believe this is matches your needs?

We are currently working on enhancing the current decomposition tree to address the discussed requirements.

@OmneyaRabie , will update here with the new design once available

We are pleased to announce the following enhancements to the Tree Diagram SDK component:
  • Clear title for the root of the tree: Users can now specify a clear and descriptive title for the root of the tree. This will make it easier for users to understand the purpose of the tree and the data it represents.
  • Clear expansion flow: The expansion flow of the tree has been improved to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Users can now easily expand and collapse nodes in the tree, and the expanded nodes will be clearly highlighted.
  • Allowed number format with prefix and suffix for the measure: Users can now specify a scale or a prefix and suffix for the measure displayed in the tree. This can be used to add additional context to the measure, such as currency symbols or units of measurement.Screenshot 2023-10-22 at 12.05.34 PM.png

  • Progress bar to show contribution to parent, to root, or the percentage variance: A progress bar has been added to the tree to show the contribution of each node to its parent, to the root of the tree, or the percentage variance. This can be used to quickly identify the nodes that are making the largest contributions to the overall value of the tree.
We believe that these enhancements will make the Tree Diagram SDK component a more powerful and versatile tool for data visualization. We hope that you will find these enhancements to be useful and beneficial.
