PDF Download with the Free Form Style

Symptoms

When downloading a dashboard as a PDF,  all content is not included in the PDF; only the content that fits into the page is shown.  What is shown in the browser may not be the same as the output PDF file.

Diagnosis

When generating the PDF, Incorta uses a 1400x700 Chromium browser window by default, so you will see truncated grids if you resize the browser or zoom in.  

The grid layout's normal behavior is stretching or compressing the insights content to always fit the current browser viewport/window.

Solution

To make sure you generate an appropriate PDF file from a dashboard, you can do the following:

• Use the free form style: There is a limitation with the Grid form; you may use the free form style to reach the desired output on the extracted PDF.

• Change the width of columns: This will reduce the table's width and make the data fit into the width of the page within the 1400x700 viewport.
