This request is for Incorta to support Service Principal authentication using the JDBC driver as described in Connect using Microsoft Entra authentication - JDBC Driver for SQL Server | Microsoft Learn. This is a supported method since 2021 and it is being using it in other apps based on JDBC drivers, similar to Incorta. The requirement is that the SQL DB connection string remains as a secret in the Incorta configuration and the app is not disclosing the connection string (and secret/pw's) in any error messages or logs, which is a significant security issue.
